RE: CLOSURE OF COLLEGE DUE TO CORONA VIRUS PANDEMIC
Following a directive issued by His Excellency The President of the Republic of Kenya on closure of all learning institutions by Friday 20th March, and taking into account that CHRM is a day learning instituition, the College issued a communication advising the students on the suspension of classes with effect from Monday 16th March 2020, until further notice. As classes remain suspended, the College Administration is committed to completing all pending administrative processes directly affecting our students. In this regard, we would like the Students/Faculty to take note of the following:
1. Administration Offices.
The Administration staff at the College are currently in the office working on urgent and immediate matters that need to be handled and tying up any loose ends in regards to student issues. We encourage students to channel their issues through the official college numbers and through the respective official emails and they will be attended to at the ealiest.
2. Exams Registration.
CHRP and KNEC Programs exams registration is currently underway, and in the final stages. It is our assumption that as earlier communicated, all students intending to sit exams have complied with the registration requirements and are fully in the system. Please confirm this with the exams office via the email: email@example.com
3. Fees Payment.
During this period that minimal movements and interactions are being emphasised upon, we will encourage students to use the cashless MPESA payment platform. If you would like to get a statement on your fees emailed to you, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and it will be issued.
4. Library Services/Learning Resources.
As most students are well aware, our library is rich in online resources and we encourage you to take advantage at this crucial time to make good use of these resources. For guidance on how to access these resources, please send an email with: your name, admission number and phone number to email@example.com.
5. Research Projects
Students currently taking research projects are requested to liaise with their respective Lecturers for consultations. Those without the contacts are requested to liaise with the HOD via email address firstname.lastname@example.org
6. Faculty Support
The Programs Implementation Department under the Deputy Principal (Alphas) and the Head of Department (Abed) is in consultation with the Faculty, to come up with a way to avail study materials to Students via their respective emails (individual or class groups emails). This will be communicated before end of the week.
The uncertainity around the situation does not allow for us to make predictions on when normal operations will resume. We encourage you to make good use of the time available to catch up with your studies as we await further directives from the government.
The College wishes all Students a safe lockdown period and advise you to adhere to the government regulations to minimise chances of exposure to the virus.
