Diploma in Cyber Security – TVET CDACC Level 6

Course Overview

Cyber Security course at the College of human Resource Management-CHRM is offered in collaboration with, The Institute of Certified Safety and Security Professionals of Kenya-ICSSPK, an independent body for security professional career development in Kenya. The course has been designed after a thorough consultation with stakeholders through the Ministry of Education under CDACC to address security gaps in training professionals. Leaners taking this program will gain professional registration with ICSSPK.

Description of the course

This course is designed to equip a Cyber security technician with the competencies required to perform computer repair and maintenance, apply cyber security laws, policies and regulations, perform computer networking, software application security, database security, cyber security system installation, cyber security risk assessment, security assessment and testing and security operation management

Entry Qualifications
  • KCSE C- or its Equivalent, Pass Level 5 of Related Course, any other Equivalent Qualification Determined by KNQA

Course Duration

he course will be assessed at two levels: internally and externally. Internal assessment is continuous and is conducted by the trainer who is monitored by an internal accredited verifier while external assessment is the responsibility of TVET/CDACC.

Course Certification

A candidate will be issued with a Certificate of Competency on demonstration of competence in a unit of competency. To attain the qualification Cyber security technician Level 6, the candidate must demonstrate competence in all the units of competency as given in qualification pack. These certificates will be issued by TVET CDACC in conjunction with training provider

  • 1 ½ Years Consisting of 4 terms of three months each plus three months industrial attachment

Mode of Study

  • Evening (6.30 am - 8.30 am, 11.30 am – 2.00 pm, 2.30 pm – 5.00pm, 8.30 am - 4.00 pm, 5.30 pm - 8.30 pm)
  • Weekends (Saturday)
  • Online
  • Full time (8:30am - 5:30pm Monday to Friday)
