Biography

An accomplished Management and Training Professional who has overseen the growth and development of training and professional programs at the College of Human Resource Management (CHRM), previously IHRM College since 2010.

  • Was appointed Principal of IHRM College in 2010 and successfully oversaw the transition to CHRM College in 2014.
  • Was instrumental and also the Lead in signing up collaborative partnerships which have brought on board International Institutions to offer ODL programs in both Premier Diplomas (CIC-UK) and Masters programs in HRM (OUT – Tanzania), among others.
  •  New program development has also included offering of Capacity Building programs with full accreditation by NITA which have added value to Trainees/Students both present and past to their existing skills and becoming more marketable in the job market.
  • In 2017 oversaw the launch and implementation of the newly introduced Certification HR program by HRMPEB-CHRP at the College. Successfully introduced and implemented the CHRP Corporate package where CHRM runs the program in firms that have more than 15 human resource employees internally. This has seen eight (8) prominent organizations signing up for the program.
  • Introduced and implemented the premier Mentorship and Internship program which has helped to place our students in internships and entry level jobs.
  • Oversaw the launch of the CHRM Alumni Association (CHRMAA); partnering with the college in areas of mentorship and training.
  • Successfully oversaw the implementation of the CHRM eCampus during the covid-19 pandemic in 2020 which has revolutionized the way our Students access learning especially for the certification HR program-CHRP.
  • Has well-rounded demonstrated ability in people management and spends time in employee environment encouraging learning and promoting increased productivity that results in value-added customer service, while deploying participative management style in a fast-paced and diverse workforce.
  • Has provided individual mentorship and skills development training on one-on-one sessions to many young people seeking to grow in their professions especially in human resource management.
  • Margaret’s main focus has been on organizational skills, emotional intelligence, engagement, resilience, attention and keenness to detail, high performance, self-awareness and career planning.
  • Holds a first degree in Business Administration in HR, an MBA-Strategic Management, and Postgraduate qualifications in HRM & Management; is a certified HR Professional (CHRP), Certified Organizational Effectiveness Coach (COEC), a certified HR Consultant (CHRC), as well as certified Professional in Managing Workplace Conflict;
  • A Member of both KIM and IHRM of good standing and holds a HR Practicing Certificate issued by IHRM.
