Dr. James Mwikya Reuben (PhD) is a Snr. Lecturer at Kirinyaga University, Department of Computing and Information Technology. He holds PhD in Management Information System from Maseno University, Kenya, he is Cisco Certified Network Professional and a Member of Computer Society of Kenya.
Dr. James has over 12 years of experience as Senior Manager in ICT administration and management in various organisations where he oversaw development and implementation of information systems for process efficiency and management effectiveness of the organisation. Dr. James has more than 10 years experience in teaching at the University Level in various Universities. He has authored and co-authored more than 25 papers in peer reviewed journals and made presentations in various international conferences. Dr. James has successfully supervised postgraduate students at PhD and Masters levels and also been involved in curriculum development from Undergraduate to PhD levels.
At Kirinyaga University, Dr. James is in-charge of Research Science Technology and Innovation where he mainstreams STI education, communication, talent development and next-generation workforce and champions R&D strengthening, R&D financing and R&D Infrastructure. Dr James was ranked among the top 100 researchers in Africa in 2023 by AD Scientific Index which analyzes academic studies among 218 countries, 21459 universities and 1,345,159 scientists by using various criteria to present results to be used for evaluating productivity & efficiency by individuals & institutions.
